Change the lockbox Super Admin

How do I transfer the lockbox to or from another?

To facilitate the transfer of the lockbox, reach out to service@lubn.com providing the following details:

Case 1: Transfer to a new Super Admin

  1. Your Device ID and the registered email address of the new Super Admin
  2. Proof of the lockbox ownership (choose one):
    1. Send the request from the email associated with the Lubn account where the key box is currently registered, or
    2. Submit a copy of your order receipt from Amazon or Lubn that clearly displays your name or email address.

Case 2: Attempt to activate a lockbox from another Super Admin

If you happen to receive a Lubn lockbox from any third party and wish to activate it, please provide the necessary details:

  1. The Device ID and your registered email address

  2. Take a picture of yourself holding the key box (including the shackle) where the device ID is visible, and the shackle is not attached to a door or a property.
  3. Proof of lockbox ownership (choose one):

    1. your order receipt, including the information of the purchased item, price, date and the store, or

    2. a screenshot of the transfer approval email from the previous owner, which should display the previous owner's Lubn account email in the from field.

For security reasons, Lubn reserves the right to decline service to customers who are acquiring a Lubn device from an unauthorized dealer or reseller.

Please note: 

  • The warranty for the key box and the free trial of the Premium plan are non-transferable. Once the device is transferred, the original warranty and free trial will no longer be valid.

  • Transfer is limited to one time per Super Admin account and the action cannot be reversed.
