Ways to charge the battery

How do I charge the lockbox?

To ensure uninterrupted functionality, it is important to keep the lockbox adequately charged.

The Lubn lockbox can be charged in two convenient ways: by connecting a USB cable to a wall charger with a phone adapter, or by using a fully charged power bank.

By Wall Power

  1. Locate the USB port on the lockbox.
  2. Connect one end of the USB cable to the USB port on the lockbox.
  3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a phone charger adapter.
  4. Connect the phone charger adapter to a wall power outlet.
  5. Ensure the power outlet is functioning correctly and delivering power.
  6. Once connected, the lockbox will begin charging with a flashing LED.
  7. Monitor the charging progress until the battery is fully charged with green LED. It usually takes 4 hours to charge from low battery to full, or 15 minutes of charging for emergency. 
  8. After the lockbox is fully charged, disconnect the USB cable from the lockbox and cover the port with the cap for weatherproof.

By Power Bank 

  1. Ensure that the power bank is fully charged before proceeding.
  2. Locate the USB port on the lockbox.
  3. Connect the USB cable to the lockbox.
  4. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the power bank.
  5. Once connected, the lockbox will begin charging from the power bank.
  6. Monitor the charging progress until the battery is fully charged with green LED. 10~15 minutes of charging should provide enough power for emergency shackle release. 
  7. After the lockbox is fully charged, disconnect the USB cable and cover the port with the cap for weatherproof.

By External Solar Panel

To ensure that the Manager App has the latest battery status, power on the key box so it can connect to the Internet to update its battery status.

Reminders:

  • Cover the USB port with the cap after charging for weatherproof.
  • Do not charge through a computer USB port. The computer
    USB port does not provide sufficient power. 
  • It is important to use a USB cable and phone charger adapter that are compatible with the lockbox to ensure safe and efficient charging.
