Do I have to pay the monthly fee for the lockbox?

Subscribe vs. pay-as-you-go

There is a cost associated with maintaining LTE/5G connectivity for the lockbox and servicing the Property Management System (PMS). The Lubn lockbox connects to LTE/5G networks such as AT&T or T-Mobile, enabling real-time data, remote key release, check-in photos, notifications, and other remote features.

While we encourage customers to keep an active monthly or annual subscription to maintain full service, you are not required to pay a monthly fee year-round if you are an Individual account customer. You can downgrade to the Basic plan (no monthly fee) at anytime. If you need to send itineraries while your lockbox is on the Basic plan, you can use Lubn Credits on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Customers who manage a large number of lockboxes and use the PMS service frequently can upgrade to an Enterprise account to receive an exclusive discount on data network charges. Please note:

  • The extended warranty for AI Lockbox 3 depends on maintaining an active subscription. If you switch to the Basic plan and use the pay-as-you-go option after the standard one-year warranty ends, your extended warranty will be discontinued.
  • Because the Basic plan includes limited data, visitor check-in photos are not available when you choose to pay with Lubn Credits.
